The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that motorists can expect a traffic shift on I-10 eastbound between the Maple Fork Bridge and the I-210 interchange tonight, February 9, 2021.

The two I-10 eastbound travel lanes will shift to the inside on the newly constructed travel lanes.

Alternating lane closures on I-10 eastbound between the LA 108 and the I-210 interchanges will be required to stripe the new lanes. This closure and the traffic shift will occur between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

This will allow the contractor to reconstruct and widen the outside lanes of the interstate between the eastbound Maple Fork Bridge and I-210 west interchange.

All dates and activity are weather dependent. The entire project is expected to be complete in Fall 2021.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with extreme caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
