California I-10 Traffic | California I-10 Construction | I-10 Exit Guide

Interstate 10 is a major east-west connector route transporting people and goods through California. The heavily travelled roadway is cracked and in disrepair. This project will restore structural integrity and ride quality in the project area, and minimize maintenance needs, therefore minimizing worker exposure.

Below are the latest traffic impacts scheduled through Friday, January14, 2022

Daytime Work: Monday ā€“ Friday | 6 a.m. ā€“ 6 p.m.

  • No planned lane closures during daytime hours.
  • WB and EB crews continue working behind k-rail on demolition, excavation and paving throughout the entire length of the project from Beaumont to SR-111.

Nighttime Work: Sunday ā€“ Thursday | 7 p.m. ā€“ 6 a.m.

NIGHTTIME ALTERNATING LANE AND RAMP CLOSURES IN BOTH DIRECTIONS ā€“ Expect delays, ALLOW ADDITIONAL TIME FOR TRAVEL

  • WB and EB crews will be grinding and paving from Pennsylvania Avenue in Beaumont to Main Street in Cabazon.

10 DAY RAMP CLOSURES: Due to high winds and poor field conditions the anticipated ramp OPENINGS and CLOSURES may be DELAYED and will begin during nighttime operations.

  • Anticipated reopening Mon., Jan. 10
  • EB Sunset Avenue off-ramp
  • ALTERNATE ROUTE: please use Highland Springs Avenue, Beaumont Avenue or 22nd Street.
  • Anticipated closure , Jan. 10 and reopening Mon., Jan. 17
  • EB 22nd Street off-ramp
  • ALTERNATE ROUTE: please use Sunset Avenue.
  • Anticipated closure Thurs., Jan. 13 and reopening Sun., Jan. 23
  • EB 22nd Street on-ramp
  • ALTERNATE ROUTE: please use 8th
  • Anticipated closure Thurs., Jan. 20 and reopening Sun., Jan. 30
  • EB 8th Street off-ramp
  • ALTERNATE ROUTE: please use 22nd
  • Anticipated closure Mon., Jan. 24 and reopening Fri., Feb. 4
  • EB 8th Street on-ramp
  • ALTERNATE ROUTE: please use 22nd
  • Anticipated closure Tues., Jan. 25 and reopening Sat., Feb. 5
  • EB Highland Springs Avenue off-ramp
  • ALTERNATE ROUTE: please use Pennsylvania Avenue or Sunset Avenue.
  • Anticipated closure Mon., Jan. 31 and reopening Fri., Feb. 11
  • EB Pennsylvania Avenue on-ramp
  • ALTERNATE ROUTE: please use Highland Springs Avenue.

TRAFFIC SWITCH The EB crossover lane from just east of Beaumont Avenue in Beaumont to Hargrave Street in Banningis available for motorists. There are no exits in the crossover lane and no trucks towing trailers, RVā€™s or busses permitted.

INTERMITTENT CONNECTOR RAMP CLOSURE EB connector on-ramp to SR-111 may intermittently be closed for roadwork, please use Whitewater/Tipton Road or Indian Canyon Road to access SR-111.

LONG-TERM RAMP CLOSURES

  • Anticipated opening beginning mid-March 2022.
  • EB Sunset Avenue on-ramp remains closed for improvements, closure assists with freeway capacity.
  • DETOUR: please use EB 22nd Street or EB 8th Street on-ramps to access the EB I-10.

CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY

  • REDUCE YOUR SPEED throughout the project area.
  • LANES ARE REDUCED IN WIDTH TO MAINTAIN FREEWAY CAPACITY.
  • ALL RAMPS AND LANES in the project area are subject to BRIEF INTERMITTENT CLOSURES, for staging and other construction improvements.
  • ALL WORK is WEATHER and field condition
  • Dates and times are SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
