The Texas Department of Transportation (TexasDOT) reports the following traffic impacts associated with construction and maintenance work on I-10 in the El Paso area, thru Saturday, October 19, 2024. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Sunday, October 13, and Monday, October 14
Crews will be placing concrete pavement.
9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- I-10 East will be reduced to one lane between Redd Road and Mesa Street
- The eastbound Artcraft Road onramp will be closed
- DETOUR: Continue on South Desert Boulevard, enter I-10 past Mesa.
Monday, October 14 through Saturday, October 19
Crews will be working on retaining walls.
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Vinton Road and Transmountain Road as needed.
Monday, October 14, through Saturday, October 19
Crews will be conducting earth work.
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Mesa Street and Redd Road.
Tuesday, October 15
Crews will be placing concrete pavement.
9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- I-10 East will be reduced to one lane between Los Mochis Drive and Transmountain Drive.
Wednesday, October 16
Crews will be placing concrete pavement.
9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- I-10 West will be reduced to one lane between Transmountain Road and Los Mochis Drive.
The following closures and detours will continue until further notice:
- Westbound mainlanes of I-10 are detoured onto North Desert Boulevard at Los Mochis Drive.
- The eastbound mainlanes of I-10 are detoured onto South Desert Boulevard at Los Mochis Drive.
- North Desert Boulevard is closed to all traffic north of Enchanted Hills Drive.
- South Desert Boulevard is closed to all traffic south of Spur 37 (Vinton Road).
- Thorn Avenue is closed to all traffic between North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard.
- Alternating daytime lane closures are possible on North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard between Redd Road and Anthony.
- Alternating daytime lane closures are possible on Redd Road between North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard.
- Both turnarounds at Redd Road are closed.
All closures are subject to change based upon weather and field conditions.
