Multiple I-10 Detours This Week as Part of Florida’s Widening Project

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that as part of their I-10 from I-295 to I-95 widening project, closures and detours are scheduled at multiple interchanges within the project limits this week while crews perform bridge construction operations, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Please note that schedules may be adjusted to avoid conflicting detour traffic along the routes.

Closure scheduled Monday, November 4 from 10 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-10 East exit to McDuff Avenue closed: Drivers will detour to Stockton Street, to Irene Street and take I-10 West to connect with McDuff Avenue.

Closure scheduled Monday, November 4 through Tuesday, November 5 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-10 West exit to U.S. 17 closed: Drivers will detour to the McDuff Avenue exit to connect with U.S. 17.

Closure scheduled Monday, November 4 through Thursday, November 7 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • McDuff Avenue on-ramp to I-10 West closed: Northbound drivers will detour to Lenox Avenue and take Cassat Avenue to connect with I-10 West. Southbound drivers will detour to Rosselle Street, to Stockton Street, to Irene Street, to Edison Avenue and take Forest Street to connect with I-10 West.

Closure scheduled Tuesday, November 5 through Thursday, November 7 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • McDuff Avenue on-ramp to I-10 East closed: Drivers will detour to Rosselle Street and take Stockton Street to connect with I-10 East.

Closures scheduled Wednesday, November 6 and Thursday, November 7 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-10 West exit to McDuff Avenue closed: Drivers will detour to Luna Street and take Lenox Avenue to connect with McDuff Avenue.
  • Irene Street on-ramp to I-10 West closed: Drivers will detour to Edison Avenue and take Forest Street to connect with I-10 West.

This $174.5 million project is scheduled to be completed in summer 2025, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
