Buc-ee’s, the wildly popular gigantic travel center, is poised to expand its presence in Northern Florida. The company has submitted a permit application to the Leon County government for a proposed development on 73 acres situated near Capital Circle Northwest and Interstate 10 in Tallahassee.
The proposed store could become the companyās second-largest location. The applicant intends to develop a travel center with an estimated area of 75,000 square feet, strategically situated in the southeast corner of the Park Place Planned Unit Development (PUD), on the west side of Capital Circle Northwest, directly north of I-10.
Like other Buc-ee’s, the proposed retail travel center will include a total of 120 fueling positions and 8 DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) positions. There will be 795 standard parking spaces, 24 designated electric vehicle (EV) parking spaces, and 11 parking spaces specifically designed for buses and recreational vehicles (RVs). Parking will surround the building, while the fueling positions will be located at the rear (west) side of the facility.
