Drivers who use Interstate 10 in Pinal County, Arizona should expect several intermittent closures today (Sunday, Sept. 23), for utility work near Sacaton. The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for temporary delays and consider alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:

I-10 is scheduled to close in both directions just west of Casa Blanca Road (milepost 175) four times between 6 a.m. and noon this Sunday.

Closures are scheduled to occur at approximately 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Exact times are subject to change.

Each closure is scheduled to last up to 20 minutes.

The closures are necessary as crews with the Gila River Indian Community Utility Authority work on an electrical line located above the I-10 travel lanes.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
