Alabama DOT Suspends I-10 Closures Thru Christmas, New Year’s Holiday

In anticipation of an increase in Christmas and New Year holiday traffic, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will have no temporary lane closures on I-10 as well as other Alabama interstates from Friday, December 24 at 6:00 a.m. until Sunday, December 26 at 11:59 p.m.

The following weekend (New Years) there will be no temporary lane closures from Friday, December 31 at 6:00 a.m. through Sunday, January 2 at 11:59 p.m.

ALDOT is limiting road work and lane closures for the safety of the traveling public, road construction workers and maintenance workers.
