Buc-ee’s has announced its strategic expansion into Arizona, unveiling plans to establish a new retail outlet located just off the I-10 corridor.
The Texas-based travel center is actively exploring the development of an expansive site in Goodyear, a suburban area approximately 20 miles distant from downtown Phoenix. Proposals submitted to the city delineate a substantial 75,000-square-foot retail facility accompanied by 713 parking spaces, strategically positioned at the southeast intersection of North Bullard Avenue and Interstate 10.
Buc-ee’s strategic site selection process is progressing swiftly. Recently, the Goodyear Planning and Zoning Commission granted approval for the rezoning of a 71-acre property earmarked for Buc-ee’s development in Goodyear. While the company has secured land under contract, the finalization of the Arizona property acquisition is pending closure.
The Arizona travel center reflects Buc-ee’s strategic initiative to expand its presence into a new U.S. territory, marking its inaugural establishment in the Southwest region. Following successful ventures beyond Texas, the company has established itself in the Deep South and Southeast, establishing outlets in Georgia and Florida.
Presently, the project awaits a vote from the Goodyear City Council.
