The Texas Department of Transportation reports the following I-10 Connect Project closures through Thursday, October 8, 2020.

Daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm

  • The on-ramp which connects Gateway Boulevard West at westbound I-10 at Piedras Street will be closed to all traffic.
  • DETOUR: Enter westbound I-10 at Cotton Street.
  • Lane closures will be in place on eastbound I-10 between Cotton Street and Piedras Street.
  • Lane closures will be in place on westbound I-10 between Piedras Street and Cotton Street.
  • Lane closures will be in place on Gateway Boulevard East from Poplar Street to Eucapyptus Street.
  • Crews will be conducting electrical work for a new LMS system.

Wednesday, October 7, and Thursday, October 8

Nightly from 9:00pm to 5:00am

  • Southbound US 54 will be closed to all traffic between I-10 and US 62 (Paisano Drive).
  • DETOUR: Take Exit 21A (I-10 East/Van Horn) to eastbound I-10. Take Exit 23B (US 62/180/Chelsea Street/Paisano Drive) and follow marked US 62 detour.
  • Ramp E which connects Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 at Yandell Drive will be closed to all traffic.
  • DETOUR: Enter southbound US 54 at Pershing Drive.
  • Crews will be preparing for the I-110 traffic switch.

27-Hour Closure

Sunday, October 10, at 2am, through 5am on Monday, October 11

  • I-110, the short freeway spur leading to the Bridge of the Americas, will be closed to all traffic between US 54 and US 62 (Paisano Drive)
  • DETOUR: Access the Bridge of the Americas from eastbound US 62 (Paisano Drive) near the Chamizal National Memorial.
  • NOTE: When I-110 reopens, the northbound lanes will remain closed to traffic.
  • Crews will be switching southbound traffic back to the southbound lanes.

The Following Long-term Closures Will Continue Without Interruption Next Week:

  • Ramps F and G, which connect I-10 to JuĆ”rez at the Spaghetti Bowl, remain detoured through northbound US 54 to Pershing Drive until further notice.
  • Interstate 110, the short freeway spur leading to and from the Bridge of the Americas, remains closed to northbound traffic until further notice.
  • Gateway Boulevard East remains closed adjacent to Lincoln Park until further notice.
  • The ramp from southbound US 54 to US 62 (Paisano Drive) remains closed until further notice.
  • Both turnarounds under US 54 at US 62 (Paisano Drive) remains closed until further notice.
  • Intermittent closures on Durazno Avenue, Rosa Avenue and Uva Street.
  • Lane closures will be in place on eastbound and westbound SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) at US 54 until further notice.
  • Lane closures will be in place on eastbound and westbound US 62 (Paisano Drive) between I-110 and US 54 until further notice.
  • Lane closures will be in place on Ramp D, which connects southbound US 54 to eastbound I-10 until further notice.
  • Lane closures will be in place on Ramp H, which connects eastbound I-10 to northbound US 54, until further notice.
  • Intermittent lane closures on Gateway Boulevard East between Piedras Street and US 62/180 (Paisano Drive).
  • Intermittent lane closures on Gateway Boulevard West between Boone Street and Palm Street.

Onramp and offramp closures may begin up to one hour earlier than stated times. All information is subject to change based upon weather and field conditions.
