Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with lakeside fun, land and boat parades, live music and Family Fun Day at the award-winning Horseshoe Bay Resort. Resort guests will enjoy daily activities as well as a special Family Fun Day on Sunday afternoon featuring a giant inflatable slide, mechanical bull ride, face painting, balloon artist, lawn games, sno-cones, and a chance to get up close and personal with the resort’s collection of exotic birds.
The highlight of the Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Fourth of July celebration will be the extravagant firework display over Lake LBJ. The fireworks begin at 9:30pm and will be simulcast live on KITY 102.9 FM for the public’s enjoyment.
Guests can enjoy two popular waterfront concerts while watching the sun set over stunning Lake LBJ. Jumpstart, a 10-piece Austin variety dance band, will perform on Saturday, July 2 and the Chris Brade Band will perform prior to the fireworks show on Monday, July 4. Both concerts begin at 8pm and are complimentary for overnight guests of the resort and Club members.
Throughout the weekend, guests will stay busy with family-friendly activities including kids’ shark boat rides, Sunset cruises on Lake LBJ, watercraft rentals, Dive-In Movies, S’mores for the family and much more. Nightly buffets will be offered at the resort’s dining outlets as well as the Yacht Club waterfront complex and will feature Italian, Texas BBQ, Caribbean themes and more.
The city of Horseshoe Bay will hold its annual land parade on Independence Day with the parade route going by the resort at 9:30 a.m. Afterwards, the City’s annual boat parade will take place with the decorated boats passing in front of the resort’s Yacht Club at 10:30 a.m.
