The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) reports the following traffic impacts associated with I-10 construction and maintenance work in the El Paso area through Saturday, November 2. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Through Saturday, November 2 (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
- I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Vinton Road and Transmountain Road as needed.
Crews will be working on retaining walls.
Through Saturday, November 2 (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Mesa Street and Redd Road.
Crews will be conducting earth work.
Friday, November 1 (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
- Exit from I-10 West to Artcraft will be closed.
- DETOUR: Take Exit 11 (SH 20/Mesa Street/Thorn Avenue) continue on North Desert Boulevard to Artcraft.
Crews will be relocating concrete safety barriers.
Sunday, November 3, through Tuesday, November 5 and Monday, November 11 (9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.)
- I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane at Los Mochis Drive.
- Intermittent complete closures of I-10 East and West are possible at this time.
Crews will be placing bridge beams.
Wednesday, November 6 and Sunday, November 10 (9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.)
- I-10 East will be closed at Thorn Avenue.
- DETOUR: Take Exit 9 (Redd Road), continue on South Desert Boulevard, and re-enter I-10 past Mesa Street.
Crews will be placing bridge beams.
Thursday, November 7 (9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.)
- I-10 West will be closed at Thorn Avenue.
- DETOUR: Take Exit 11 (SH 20/Mesa Street/Thorn Avenue), continue on North Desert Boulevard, and re-enter I-10 past Redd Road.
Crews will be placing bridge beams.
The following closures and detours will continue until further notice:
- Westbound mainlanes of I-10 are detoured onto North Desert Boulevard at Los Mochis Drive.
- The eastbound mainlanes of I-10 are detoured onto South Desert Boulevard at Los Mochis Drive.
- North Desert Boulevard is closed to all traffic north of Enchanted Hills Drive.
- South Desert Boulevard is closed to all traffic south of Spur 37 (Vinton Road).
- Thorn Avenue is closed to all traffic between North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard.
- Alternating daytime lane closures are possible on North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard between Redd Road and Anthony.
- Alternating daytime lane closures are possible on Redd Road between North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard.
- Both turnarounds at Redd Road are closed.
