Travelers on I-10 eastbound in the Baton Rouge area are experiencing traffic congestion and long delays associated with construction activities.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation reports that the I-10 construction area is located from mile marker 107 to mile marker 152. Eastbound motorists are advised to take I-49 north to US 190 east as a route to avoid the construction.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds motorists to please drive with caution through construction sites and look out for work crews and their equipment.
