The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that work has begun on the I-10 at LA 26 lighting project in Jennings. The existing interstate lighting system is being replaced with energy-efficient alternatives.
Motorists should expect intermittent shoulder closures on I-10 and LA 26, including the I-10 entrance and exit ramps, throughout the duration of the project. Closures are necessary for work crews to remove and install lighting components and equipment as required by the project.
The $1.83 million project is anticipated to be completed by January 2026, weather permitting.
