Multiple I-10 Ramp Closures, Detours in Jacksonville Thru September 18

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that, as part of a resurfacing project on I-10 between Chaffee Road and I-295, drivers can expect nighttime ramp closures through Wednesday, September 18 for milling and resurfacing.

The following closures are planned from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting:

  • Monday, September 16 to Tuesday, September 17, the northbound I-295 ramp to I-10 westbound will be closed. Drivers on I-295 will continue north to Commonwealth Avenue and use Commonwealth Avenue to enter southbound I-295 to then access I-10 westbound.
  • Monday, September 16 to Tuesday, September 17, the southbound I-295 ramp to westbound I-10 will be closed. Drivers on southbound I-295 will take I-10 eastbound to Lane Avenue then access I-10 westbound.
  • Also Monday, September 16 to Tuesday, September 17, the westbound I-10 ramp to Hammond Boulevard will be closed. Drivers on I-10 will continue to Chaffee Road and take I-10 eastbound to access Hammond Boulevard.
  • Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18, the Hammond Boulevard ramp to I-10 westbound will be closed. Drivers will take Hammond Boulevard to U.S 90 (Beaver Street) west to Chaffee Road and go south on Chaffee Road to access I10 westbound.

During the closures, drivers should follow posted detour signage and use additional caution in the area.
